Born with a congenital birth defect that resulted in the amputation of
his legs at age four, Ron Bachman was subsequently trained to walk on
full-leg prostheses. He struggled with the cumbersome devices at
school and in public for years, while at home and at play he was most
comfortable and agile, using his hands to get around.
|
 |
Eventually, he decided that he
didn’t have to walk on legs just because that’s what other people did.
Humorous, engaging and infused with Ron’s rock-n-roll spirit, this video
will encourage all who view it to understand and appreciate diversity in
everyone around them.
| In this moving and dynamic film you’ll
meet Ron as a four year old prior to his amputations all the way
through to his life as a forty year-old man whose proudest
accomplishment has been to raise his daughter by himself. Today he
speaks to audiences both young and old from around the world about the
importance of treating people with dignity and respect.

Whether Walk This Way
is viewed in the classroom, the boardroom or the living room, Ron’s
powerful message stays with you forever!
